Laws of Attraction and Om Shanti Om
August 21, 2008 by Arun Pal Singh · 2 Comments
As a student we have studied laws of attraction of physics and chemistry. However, there exist another set of laws of attraction referred to as New Age Laws of attraction.
These say that people’s thoughts (both conscious and unconscious) dictate the reality of their lives, whether or not they’re aware of it.
This also says “if you really want something and believe it’s possible, you’ll probably get it” but that putting a lot of attention and thought onto something you don’t want means you’ll probably get that too.
If you are interested in this science you must have come across a movie called The Secret which came out in 2006.
This concept has been equally crticised as well because claims of the law of attraction appear impossible without violating established scientific principles and our understanding of the universe.
However, modern proponents say that the Law of Attraction has roots in Quantum Physics. According to them, thoughts have an energy that attracts like energy. In order to control this energy, proponents state that people must practice four things
- Know what one desires and ask the universe for it.
- Focus one’s thought upon the thing desired with great feeling such as enthusiasm or gratitude.
- Feel and behave as if the object of one’s desire is already acquired.
- Be open to receiving it.
If one abides by these principles, and avoids “negative” thoughts, the Universe will manifest a person’s desires.
In my view , it comes to matter of belief. This law transcends science to embrace spirituality. Because it works on belief, the results would be widely arranged.
I recently watched a movie by Shahrukh Khan called Om Shanti Om. You might remember this movie for its clash and eventual victory against Sanwaria.
This movie also used the this concept of law of attraction.
The hero desires for something but dies without being fulfilled. He is reborn and all desires are met with.
Have you ever tested strength of this law.

Achieve Your Goals and Create Success
August 17, 2008 by Arun Pal Singh · Leave a Comment
Each of us has a desire to achieve and succeed. But when it comes to reaching the pinnacle of success, it can be difficult to know where to turn for advice. It seems that everyone and his brother is touting the one way to the greatest level of achievement, and it can be hard to know whom to trust.
The real truth is that there is no one key to achievement. What works for one person may not necessarily be right for the next person.
It is important, therefore, to evaluate your own individual goals when thinking about your achievement and accomplishments. Every person will have a different set of goals, and therefore they will need a different strategy for achieving those goals. While some employees have their eyes on the corner office, and see this as the ultimate achievement, others would rather put in their time as a quality employee and take early retirement to enjoy the rest of their life. These two goals are very different, so it just makes sense that how these goals are achieved will differ.
Other people may view achievement as not being an employee at all. Many people view the ultimate achievement as being responsible for themselves by starting their own business and being in charge of their own future. There is nothing like owning a business to bring yourself face to face with the importance of achievement and goals. If you can serve the customer better than anyone else, your business is likely to be a success. Many people love the challenges of running their own business, as well as the sense of achievement and accomplishment that comes with it.
Of course, the importance of achievement does not end at the office door. Achievement and self-fulfillment are just as important to a successful and happy personal life as they are to a profitable and fulfilling business life. Setting personal goals, and enjoying the feeling of achievement that comes with meeting them is every bit as important as being successful at your job and enjoying what you do.
Unfortunately, many people get so wrapped up in making their careers a success that they fail to focus on the importance of their personal lives. It is important to include your family in any major decisions, and to take time to enjoy their many goals and achievements as well as your own. Without a happy personal life, even the greatest financial success can be hollow and unfulfilling.
The bottom line is that there is no single key to success and achievement, no matter how much we wish there were. Every person must make his or her own plans for achieving their most important goals, and those goals will be different for every individual. The key to a successful and happy career is much the same as the key to a happy and successful personal life. The secret is to balance the personal and the professional, to set goals properly, and to know what is truly important in your life. Read more

Finding A Safe Place For Your Mind Problems
August 14, 2008 by Arun Pal Singh · Leave a Comment
Our actions and reactions are guided by our emotions. Sometimes this influence is very obvious and at other times quite subtle to be recognized. We often see emotions as a sign of weakness. We try to put them aside and try to focus on the rational aspects more and more.
No matter how strict and logical you want to be, the emotional aspect cannot be overlooked. We will always be a human being, not a robot.
Our feelings make us human beings
Material success is important and we might see our emotions as an obstacle in that. But at the same time positive emotions are a life long goal for many of us. Read more

Let Shyness not Be An Obstacle
August 14, 2008 by Arun Pal Singh · Leave a Comment
Shyness is a trait. Shy persons usually remain contained in themselves. They are not outspoken or extrovert. They are one of those persons who turn red up to their ears, loose their breath, remain speechless, have trembling knees etc under certain circumstances.
It is generally thought that the shy persons are usually left behind in terms of achievement and other aspects of life. Some people even believe that it is one of the worse things that can happen to a person.
Guess what? You might be wrong! In fact it might just be contrary.
They are those people who go to the supermarket and are afraid even to talk with the sales person. They turn red before saying the first words and when they do they never say it loud enough, so they have to repeat it. No matter how hard they try, it goes worse every time. The more they strive not to blush, the redder they become.
What about work?
Shy persons never get bored at work, as they are always trying to observe the others and improve themselves. It is widely accepted that timid persons know a lot of things about human character in general, although they normally do not dare to get in contact with many persons. But they do study humans more diligently.
In spite of the fact that during teen age these persons had usually no social life, most of them grew up as great human resources managers or psychologists, precisely because being left outside the group, they could analyze the others better.
There is another great thing about introverted people. They are, just like us all, curious and, since they normally have nobody to ask, they start reading books or research on the internet. Eventually they turn out be well read persons of immense knowledge.
As a result, shy persons have all the opportunities in the world to get good positions, in almost any field. They are hard working, they can keep their mouth shut and they can be loyal. If you are shy you have this distinct advantage. Shy people give others a feeling of serenity. They do not seem capable of talking over somebody else’s private issues.
These kinds of persons are fighters because they need to prove themselves. If you are member of this group do not be embarrassed! Your group mates are among the most motivated persons, since they have a well established purpose they want to reach.
But on the personal aspect they might feel insecure because of their shy trait and lack capacity to overcome it. It is said that shy people with little help can get the rid of this introvertness and help them to achieve even higher with all their other characters being favorable.
A little daring act could do wonders for them. If you dare, you will see the rest of it comes along!
Just because you are shy does not mean that you will lag behind others.

People are afraid of changes especially those which affect their existence in a negative way. Wherever we live we create a comfort zone for ourselves. It could be the room in the house where we live in and feel cozy and comforted every time we go there. Or it could be cubicle in the office we have got used to. We get accustomed to some particular routine or things and highly detest the change that might occur.
For some individuals this fear of change starts occupying major share of their thoughts. We find the whole spectrum from slight nagging thought to obsessive thinking. We might fear to loose our job or the company of somebody for whatsoever reason.

Is Self Improvement Stuff helpful?
August 13, 2008 by Arun Pal Singh · Leave a Comment
It was long time back when I was still in my MBBS years. One of my friend was reading ‘7 Habits of Highly Succesful People’. He was quite impressed with the book and recommended that to me.
“I do not need all this improvement stuff”, I replied, I am quite content with the way I am.”
As the time passed I could not help at introspection. Slowly my ego humbled and I found the flaws with myself. I was arrogant. I was poor at time management. I was hesitant to start a conversation. I never scheduled my goals. I was more emotional than practical.
I was always a good student. I was best in my school days. I was competitive. I did strive to do the best. But the very best was always determined by my surroundings. It is a different when you perform at local schoool level in a countryside school. But it is different when you compete at national level to enter into medical college. Read more
